Our story

Faith, Food & a Purpose-Driven Journey

For Chef Al, cooking is more than preparing meals. It’s an expression of faith, love, and stewardship.

Raised by his mother and grandmothers, Al learned early that food brings people together. His mother’s words, “Learn all that you can so you don’t have to depend on anyone,” became a guiding principle in his life.

In 2025, a Type II Diabetes diagnosis changed his relationship with food. Determined to reclaim his health, he embraced a new approach to cooking: eliminating refined sugars, reducing simple carbohydrates, and choosing wholesome ingredients without sacrificing flavor.

As Al shares in his upcoming cookbook, “If I truly want to see change, it came down to one thing; me being committed to making the change.”

Rooted in his growing relationship with Jesus Christ, Chef Al founded Alfresco Meals to share that transformation with others.

His philosophy is simple:

“Same Flavor, Better Choices.”

Through every meal, Chef Al hopes to nourish the body, encourage healthier living, and glorify God through the gifts He has provided.

Reheating

Four ways to warm it up.

Same Flavor, Better Choices. Times can vary by meal, so check the label on your meal for its exact steps.

Remove lid or loosen to vent. Cover loosely with a microwave-safe cover. Heat on HIGH for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring or rotating halfway through. Allow to rest for 1 minute before enjoying.

Chef Al's TouchFor the best flavor and texture, reheat slowly to preserve moisture and avoid overcooking.
Food safety

Instructions are for refrigerated, fully cooked meals. Reheat to an internal temperature of 165°F. Cooking times may vary by portion size and appliance. Frozen meals require additional heating time. Only use containers approved for the selected heating method.
